About Us

Sharing with our community the foods we love

Wholly Organic Since 1994

Our farm began in 1994 as a labor of love - an orchard and vegetable garden cultivated as a source of nutritious, delicious produce to nourish family and friends. We soon realized our crops were so abundant, we wanted to share the bounty with others. Thus was born Orchard Hill Organics!

You could say farming is in our blood. For the past 3 generations, the Rowe family has lived, worked, and tilled the soil in Northern Westchester, propelled by a love of the land and a passionate commitment to wellness. I had my first vegetable garden when I was 11 years old, soon realizing that what is fresh and nutritious is also fundamentally delicious. While I later followed in my father's footsteps to become a Doctor of Chiropractic, our practice incorporates robust education about a healthy lifestyle with sound nutrition at its core.

Orchard Hill Organics provides a highly diverse, regional-seasonal menu of produce throughout the year since we believe 'eating the rainbow' is the best insurance against sickness by providing the body with the full complement of phytochemicals and nutrients essential for it to thrive.

Minimizing our ecological & carbon footprint:

  • Sell locally and direct from farm
  • Collect yard waste from local landscapers and composting
  • Sequester carbon and keep nutrients local
  • Divert waste stream from landfills

Managing pests with cultural controls:

  • Plant beneficial and smart rotations to deter pests and increase beneficial and predatory insects
  • Minimal spraying and only OMRI (organically improved) sprays as a last resort
  • We NEVER use herbicides

Meet the Rowes

David Rowe - Owner

As owner and founder of Orchard Hill Organics, co-founder of Rowe Chiropractic Offices, and developer of the comprehensive technique used at RCO, Dr. David Rowe is dedicated to a mission that goes far beyond spinal adjustment. His 34-year-old practice vows to: "educate and adjust as many individuals and families as possible to enable achievement of optimal health". Dr. David Rowe is tireless in this pursuit. He has traveled over a million miles learning and teaching this approach to health and wellness.

He resides in Manhattan and owns an orchard and vegetable farm in Westchester County which allows his passion for organic agriculture to grow. Dr. David Rowe has a lifelong love of organic gardening and healthy lifestyle. Orchard Hill Organics is a way to share this philosophy with the community he grew up in.

Jeff Rowe - Markets Manager

To many people Jeff is the familiar face of Orchard Hill Organics. Whether it is working at Farmers Markets, picking up or making deliveries, or exploring new markets, Jeff is often the most direct link between the harvested food and the customers. As a brother to the farm owner, Jeff was there at the start; putting in his time clearing land, planting trees, laying out gardens, and being a sounding board for the future plans whose benefits are now being reaped. Nowadays he’s more comfortable keeping his hands out of the dirt and helping more and more people add regional-season, nutrient dense, and VERY DELICIOUS fruits and vegetables to their healthy diet.
